Individual projects and programmes
Development projects at home can be assisted from funds of Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), provided they
- serve the purpose of educational, cultural and public relations work in development policy in Austria,
- are proposed by legal persons,
- conform with the formal criteria for ADC funding,
- are financed to at least 15 per cent from own funds.
The maximum project term may not exceed three years.
Application procedure and project administration
Submission deadlines for grant applications are the beginning of March and the beginning of September respectively. The next deadline is 10th of September 2012.
Please make sure that grant applications are submitted on time before project start. Applicants can be notified of funding approval about three months after submission of the grant application.
Collaboration between project partners and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) proceeds in several steps:
- Project partner submits grant application
- ADA appraises grant application
- ADA expert advisory boards make recommendations
- ADA informs project partner
- Project partner revises grant application if necessary
- ADA informs applicant of funding decision
- ADA draws up contracts and arranges for payments
- Project partner carries out project and reports on implementation (incl. invoicing)
- ADA assesses the report contents, audits the invoice and evaluates the results
More information and advice on funding facilities are available from the ADA department, Development Communication and Education in Austria. You can already send outlines for planned projects to ADA before the submission deadlines.
