Framework programmes
Framework programmes with non-governmental organisations (NGO) make a tangible, strategic contribution to poverty reduction and to sustainable improvement in the conditions of life for people in developing countries. Framework programmes are carried out by Austrian NGOs together with local project partners in one or several developing countries. A Framework Programme consists of coherent and interactive programme interventions with a common strategic and development objective. An important element of Framework Programmes are interventions on the programme level, for example interventions to strengthen synergistic effects, context and structure-forming interventions, knowledge management and know-how transfer.
The term for framework programmes is three years. The minimum annual amount for a framework is EUR 300,000. Contractual partners of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of ADC, are Austrian NGOs with documented programme experience, sufficient personnel and financial resources and a longstanding record of good cooperation. Organisations interested in taking part in a NGO framework programme must submit their letter of interest to ADA in the format provided by 28 February.
