Microprojects
Microprojects (small projects) can be funded if they make a contribution to improving the conditions of life and to reducing poverty in developing countries. As far as possible, the measures must be of direct benefit to the specific target group concerned and be implemented within a year. Strengthening target groups through capacity development for sustainability must make up a key aspect of project activities.
Ineligible for funding are studies and projects devised solely for transporting persons or goods to a developing country or more than half of whose costs are allocated for physical construction and/or procurement (including requisite personnel expenditure).
Entitled to apply are legal entities such as societies, foundations, trade unions, regional/local administrative bodies or other public-law corporations domiciled in Austria. Not entitled are individuals and organisations that have already concluded a contract for assistance with Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) under another funding instrument.
Cofinance may not exceed EUR 5,000 with a funding quota of 85 per cent of total costs. The maximum project term is a year. Applications can be submitted at any time.
