Austrian Development Cooperation

Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) supports countries in Africa, Asia and Central America as well as in South Eastern and Eastern Europe in their sustainable social, economic and democratic development. The Foreign Ministry (FMEIA) plans ADC strategies and programmes. The Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the operational unit of ADC, implements these together with public institutions, non-governmental organisations and enterprises.

Austrian Development Cooperation supports developing a Child Protection Safety Net

"Developing a Child Protection Safety Net in Albania (CPSN)" is a new project launched by Terre des hommes in Albania on November 11th 2009 aiming at creating a network able to protect children against trafficking and other forms of abuse, violence, exploitation or neglect.


"Creating a healthy environment for children where they can grow up and develop their full potential is the goal we want to achieve with our social policies, in collaboration also with partners" said Ms. Filloreta Kodra, Vice-Minister of Labor.

Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) has been funding various projects in the recent years in the field of combating trafficking in human beings. "ADC is committed to support Albania in implementing its social inclusion policies and setting up social protection mechanism based on European standards", said Ms. Astrid Wein, Head of ADC in Albania.


This project is financially supported by the Austrian Development Cooperation, Medicor Foundation, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, OAK Foundation, the Swiss Development Cooperation and UNICEF.
