Capacity Development for HTMTI
Three separate contracts for capacity development (2104-00-2001, 2104-00-2002 and 2104-00-2004) have been implemented. The fund was instrumental in addressing the quick needs of the main sectors of cooperation. The most important activities for the HTMTI has been that under these capacity development funds four Bhutanese teachers at the HTMTI were provided scholarships at the Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. All four candidates successfully completed their training and have rejoined the Institute.
Since it is very essential to continue to provide capacity development assistance to the HTMTI, a Capacity Development Project for 2007/2008 is proposed. The Hotel and Tourism management Training Institute (HTMTI) will be the project partner and the target group will be the employees (Trainees) of the Institute. In general, the project aims at enhancing individual skills in order to enable the Institute to carry out their responsibilities in a professional manner. The capacity development project is to fund the priority short trainings/study visits/workshops and etc.
