Datum: 04.07.2019 - 05.07.2019 Beginn: 09:30, (04.07.2019) Ende: 12:30, (05.07.2019) Ort: Licht für die Welt, Niederhofstraße 26, 1120 Wien

Gender analysis has become a standard requirement for projects and programs supported by  he Austrian Development Cooperation. In 2017, the Austrian Development Agency issued a policy document on "Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls” and a “Guidance for Gender Analysis on sector level”. Both documents are basic for the design of any new projects or programs.

The project officers in "northern NGOs" play an important role in communicating the “donor requirements & standards” to their partner organisations in developing countries. The training will strengthen the project officers’ capacities to explain the purpose and benefits of a gender analysis as well as to accompany the partner organisations in the implementation of a gender analysis and the use of its findings in the design of projects or programs.

The trainer will share lessons from the field; likewise the participants are invited to share their experiences in supporting partner organisations.

Target Group: The training is designed for project and program officers but all interested persons are welcome.
