The impacts of the climate crisis, as well as those of the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine are having global impacts. However, the ability to adapt and mitigate these consequences is unevenly distributed between the Global North and Global South. The Global South, which is most affected, still does not have a strong voice in international discussions. While there is a consensus on the need for socially just climate policies globally, it is still unclear how to achieve this.

We would like to invite you to an online discussion forum. The aim is to draw attention to the effects of the current polycrisis while focusing on the Global South. There is an urgent need to address the consequences in the form of renewed and solidary multilateral cooperation. The discussion will feature our latest “Austrian Development Cooperation 2022” flagship report, which addresses these issues and will also be presented there.
