Overall goal


Das 25. Internationale Film Festival Innsbruck (IFFI) zeigt Ende Mai/ Anfang Juni 2016 in einem internationalen Wettbewerb Filme aus Afrika, Asien, Lateinamerika und (Süd-)Osteuropa. Ziel ist, die kulturelle Vielfalt dieser Kontinente bzw. Regionen einem größeren Publikum zugänglich zu machen.


Expected results


Präsentation von mind. 50 Langfilmen und 20 Kurzfilmen an 6 Festivaltagen mit begleitenden Diskussionen in Anwesenheit von ca. 20 FilmemacherInnen.

Rund 6.000 BesucherInnen nehmen an den Filmvorführungen und Begleitveranstaltungen teil.

Indirekt wird eine breitere Öffentlichkeit durch tägliche Berichterstattung in den wichtigsten lokalen Medien (ORF, Tiroler Tageszeitung, Dolomiten) erreicht.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Zielgruppen sind die entwicklungspolitisch interessierte Öffentlichkeit sowie ein kino- und kulturinteressiertes Publikum, insbesondere auch SchülerInnen und Studierende.

Das IFFI arbeitet mit einem breiten Netzwerk von KooperationspartnerInnen im In- und Ausland (FilmexpertInnen, Wirtschaft, NRO, Filmfestivals, Bildungseinrichtungen, Schulen, Hochschulen, Medien). Das IFFI ist auch bemüht, Kooperationen zwischen heimischen und nicht-europäischen FilmemacherInnen zu initiieren.


Activities


An 6 Festivaltagen werden rund 70 Spiel-, Dokumentar- und Kurzfilme präsentiert, für die mehrere Jurypreise vergeben werden. Die Filmvorführungen werden ergänzt durch ein umfangreiches Begleitprogramm (Publikumsdiskussionen mit internationalen FilmemacherInnen und ProduzentInnen, Einführungen von ExpertInnen, Workshops, Konzerte, Festivalzeitung, Videos über RegisseurInnen, Filmworkshops für junges Publikum, Social Media). Das Publikum wird durch Angebote zu Diskussion, Begegnung und Dialog aktiv einbezogen. Thematische Schwerpunkte 2016 sind u.a. neue Filme aus Afrika, Asien und Lateinamerika; Migration/Ursachen von Flucht; Filme von und über junge Menschen.

Das Filmfestival unterstützt das Engagement junger Menschen, die als freiwillige HelferInnen aktiv am Festivalgeschehen beteiligt sind und bildet sie in verschiedenen Disziplinen aus. Auch die SchülerInnen-Jury und der Preis der StudentInnen der Universität Innsbruck (neu) sollen entwicklungspolitisches Interesse und Engagement junger Menschen fördern.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 161.000 mit Euro 12.000 (7,45%) gefördert.
