Von den Tourismusschulen Salzburg werden im Studienjahr 2004/05 zum 40. mal Lehrgänge in zwei Fachrichtungen durchgeführt, basierend auf einem für alle Studierenden verpflichtenden Grundstudium: Der Lehrgang für Tourismusmanagement richtet sich an MitarbeiterInnen von Ministerien, Tourismusorganisationen und Reisebüros, der Lehrgang für Hotelmanagement wird auf die beruflichen Anforderungen der Studierenden in den Bereichen Hotellerie und Gastronomie ausgerichtet. Die Lehrgänge schließen mit einem "Diploma of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management" ab.

Die in englischer Sprache abgehaltenen Lehrgänge wenden sich primär an BewerberInnen, die bereits Führungskräfte in der Tourismusbranche sind oder das Potential haben, sich zu Führungskräften zu entwickeln und einen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung des Tourismus in ihren Ländern zu leisten. Die KandidatInnen müssen Universitätsreife bzw. eine entsprechende Qualifikation, sowie praktische Erfahrung im Fremdenverkehr nachweisen.

BewerberInnen aus Schwerpunkt- und Kooperationsländern der OEZA können sich um ein Vollstipendium, solche aus außereuropäischen Entwicklungsländern um ein Teilstipendium bewerben. Daneben werden auch SelbstzahlerInnen aus diversen Ländern angesprochen. Der Lehrgang wird aus Mitteln der OEZA, des Landes Salzburg sowie dem Salzburger Tourismusförderungsfond finanziert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
