Overall goal


Im Studienjahr 2007/08 bieten die Salzburger Tourismusschulen den 43. Lehrgang in Tourismus und Hotelmanagement (8-monatig) an. Ziel des Projektes ist es die AbsolventInnen in die Lage zu versetzten als UnternehmerInnen Betriebe zu gründen, als Führungskräfte tätig zu sein und einen Beitrag zur nachhaltigen Weiterentwicklung des Tourismus in ihren Ländern zu leisten.


Dabei können die Studierenden zwischen 3 Studienrichtungen innerhalb des Lehrgangs wählen:

Aufbauend auf einem gemeinsamen Grundstudium für alle TeilnehmerInnen richtet sich der Lehrgang für Tourismusmanagement an MitarbeiterInnen von Ministerien, Tourismusorganisationen und Reisebüros, der Lehrgang für Hotelmanagement an Studierende in den Bereichen Hotellerie und Gastronomie. Der Lehrgang Teacher Training ist vorwiegend für LehrerInnen von Universitäten, Hotelschulen und Colleges konzipiert, die in der Folge als MultiplikatorInnen zum capacity building in ihrem Herkunftsland beitragen sollen.


Das Projekt wird größtenteils aus Mitteln der OEZA sowie auch Beiträgen des Landes Salzburg, dem Salzburger Tourismusförderungsfond und der Städtepartnerschaft Salzburg finanziert. Von der OEZA werden für dieses Jahr Kosten von 19 Voll- und 11 Teilstipendien für TeilnehmerInnen aus außereuropäischen Entwicklungsländern getragen. Die Vollstipendien kommen den Stipendiaten aus den Schwerpunktländern der OEZA zugute. Diesjährig werden weiters 10 Vollstipendien für KandidatInnen aus dem Karibischen Raum als Maßnahme im Rahmen der österreichischen Sicherheitsratskandidatur finanziert.


Die KandidatInnen müssen Universitätsreife bzw. eine entsprechende Qualifikation, sowie praktische Erfahrung im Fremdenverkehr nachweisen. Die Lehrgänge werden in englischer Sprache abgehaltenen und schließen mit einem 'Diploma of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management' ab.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
