Overall goal


Accra City Tales, ein 49-minütiger Dokumentarfilm der Regisseurinnen Sandra Krampelhuber und Andrea Verena Strasser, knüpft an einer Neuinterpretation des traditionellen Geschichtenerzählens an und zeigt kontemporäre, moderne Formen des urbanen Storytellings in Accra, der Hauptstadt Ghanas. Anhand unterschiedlicher Perspektiven von KünstlerInnen und Kulturschaffenden Accras dokumentiert der Film alternative Geschichten und transformative und kreative Strategien sowohl im Bereich der subkulturellen Kunst- und Kulturproduktion als auch im Alltagsleben Accras. Er richtet den Fokus auf ein neues Selbstbewusstsein, mit dem sich junge GhanaerInnen den täglichen Herausforderungen stellen.


Expected results


Fertigstellung des Films im ersten Quartal 2016, Premiere beim Crossing Europe Filmfestival in Linz, weitere nationale und internationale Festivalteilnahmen (Einreichung bei mind. 5 österreichischen Filmfestivals), Vorführung an lokalen Kulturinitiativen und Schulen, unentgeltlicher Verleih über BAOBAB und One World Filmclubs, Webauftritt und Social Media Auftritt (Facebook).


Target group / Beneficiaries


Zielgruppen sind ein am urbanen Lifestyle, Kunst und Kultur interessiertes Publikum, Personen mit Interesse an Afrika, FestivalbesucherInnen sowie SchülerInnen.

Kooperationspartner sind nationale und internationale Filmfestivals, TV, Radio, African Communities sowie die Kulturplatform Accra(dot)alt in Accra, Ghana.


Activities


Die Dreharbeiten zum 45-minütigen Dokumentarfilm in HD sind bereits fertiggestellt. Fördergegenstand sind Postproduktion und Verwertungsmaßnahmen zum Film.

Verwertungsmaßnahmen: Festivalscreenings, Präsentationen in Kulturzentren und Schulen, Einreichungen bei TV-Sendern, Ausstrahlung im Online-TV (Dorf TV, OKTO), begleitende Medienberichterstattung, Website, Social Media Auftritt.

 


Context


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 26.900 mit Euro 5.000 gefördert.
