Overall goal

Der Verein African Cultural Promotion veranstaltet im Oktober das zehnte afrikanische Kulturfestivals "AfriCult" in Wien. Zentrales Anliegen von AfriCult ist, das Wissen über und das Verständnis für Afrika und die afrikanische Diaspora in Österreich zu verbessern.

Neben dem Kultur- und Kunstschwerpunkt finden im Rahmen des Festivals 2007 die Diskussion der Kino-Doku "Darwin`s Nightmare" in Anwesenheit des Filmemachers Hubert Sauper sowie das Dialogprogramm "AfriDialog", das sich mit europäisch-afrikanischen Beziehungen auseinandersetzt, statt. An drei Themenabenden diskutieren ExpertInnen, EntscheidungsträgerInnen und afrikanische Diaspora folgende Themen: Soziale und wirtschaftliche Verantwortung von afrikanischen Regierungen; Soziale und ökologische Verantwortung von ausländischen Konzernen in Afrika; FairTrade und Afrika.

Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mittel in der Höhe von EUR 4.000,- (32,52 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
