Overall goal


Das Vorhaben führt der Kulturverein Aktionsradius Wien in Kooperation mit VIDC/kulturen in bewegung und Arge Zimbabwe durch. Anlässlich von Linz09-Kulturhauptstadt Europas werden im Rahmen des Musik-Schwerpunktes insgesamt ca. 70 MusikerInnen aus unterschiedlichen Regionen der Welt unter dem Titel "Parade" ein Musikprojekt im öffentlichen Raum in Linz verwirklichen.

Aktionsradius Wien wird die Gelegenheit nützen, teilnehmende afrikanische KünstlerInnen zu einem Gastspiel nach Wien einzuladen und wird im Mai 2009 einen Schwerpunkt zu Afrika, interkultureller Begegnung und zur Auseinandersetzung mit globalen Entwicklungen/Themen realisieren. Als Höhepunkt soll am 8./9. Mai 2009 ein großes "Afrika-Weltkulturenfest" openair im Wiener Augarten stattfinden. Ca. 45 MusikerInnen aus Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Tanzania und Zambia treten in einen Dialog mit der heimischen Musikszene; MigrantInnenvereine sowie MusikerInnen aus der afrikanischen Community in Wien werden ebenfalls zum aktiven Mitmachen eingeladen. Darüber hinaus stehen begleitende Themenveranstaltungen, Workshops, Diskussionen, Vorträge sowie Filmabende am Programm. Angesprochen wird eine breite Öffentlichkeit von kulturell und entwicklungspolitisch Interessierten, lokale Stadtteil-Bevölkerung, Institutionen des Augartenviertels (Pensionisten-Wohnhaus, Pfarre, u.a.), MigrantInnen-Gruppen, soziale/(entwicklungs)politische Organisationen und Medien.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 15.000,- gefördert.
