Overall goal


Das Klimabündnis verbindet ökologische und entwicklungspolitische Anliegen. Ein Teil dieser Aktivitäten ist die globale Partnerschaft zum Schutz des Weltklimas zwischen Kommunen in Europa und den indigenen Völkern des Amazonas-Regenwaldes. In diesem Projekt steht die Information bestimmter Zielgruppen und der allgemeinen Öffentlichkeit über Chancen und Risiken, die durch den zunehmenden Einsatz von "Bio"kraftstoffen für benachteiligte Bevölkerungsgruppen und die Umwelt in den Entwicklungsländern entstehen, im Mittelpunkt. - Alternativen und Handlungsmöglichkeiten werden aufgezeigt. Die Projektmaßnahmen beinhalten eine umfassende Informationsarbeit mit Vorträgen, Workshops, Schulveranstaltungen, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Vorrangige Zielgruppen sind EntscheidungsträgerInnen und MultiplikatorInnen in den 698 Mitgliedsgemeinden, sowie auf Landes- und Bundesebene, weiters Schulen, Einrichtungen der Erwachsenenbildung, lokale Initiativen im Umwelt- und entwicklungspolitischen Bereich und die Medien.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 45.618,44 in der Höhe von

EUR 28.750,00 (63,02 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
