Overall goal


Die Seminarwoche beim Europäischen Forum Alpbach 2009 (Thema: Vertrauen) bildet den Auftakt aller Gespräche und beleuchtet innerhalb einer Woche im wissenschaftlichen Diskurs zehn bis zwölf aktuelle Themenbereiche außerhalb etablierter Forschungsstätten unter Beteiligung von WissenschaftlerInnen unterschiedlicher Disziplinen.


Eines der Seminare unter der Leitung von Prof. Wolfgag Dietrich widmet sich dem Thema "Vertrauen bauen: Entwicklungspolitik" ("Building Trust - Development Cooperation").


Im Rahmen des vorliegenden Projekts wird zwölf einschlägig interessierten und ausgebildeten Studierenden aus Entwicklungsländern, die den Master-Lehrgang für Peace Studies der Universität Innsbruck absolviert haben, die Teilnahme an diesem Seminar ermöglicht.

Die Studierenden aus Entwicklungsländern erhalten so die Gelegenheit, an einem internationalen Kongress teilzunehmen, der sich u. a. einschlägig mit Fragen der Entwicklungs- und Friedenspolitik beschäftigt.

Der Nutzen ihrer Teilnahme für die österreichischen TeilnehmerInnen liegt vor allem in der Einbringung verschiedener Perspektiven aus betroffenen Entwicklungsländern. Die Verbesserung des Verständnisses für deren Anliegen sowie der Austausch über die Erfahrungen der internationalen TeilnehmerInnen werden ebenfalls als essentieller Bestandteil für den Erfolg des Seminars angesehen. Weiters bietet Alpbach als Ort der Begegnung eine Möglichkeit, um durch die Teilnahme von Personen aus Entwicklungsländern das entwicklungspolitische Interesse der österreichischen TeilnehmerInnen zu wecken und zu vertiefen.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 225.180,00 in der Höhe von EUR 4.000,00 gefördert

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
