Overall goal


Das Projekt Alpen & Himalaya: gestern, heute & morgen baut im Rahmen einer Foto-Ausstellung eine visuelle Brücke zwischen den beiden Bergregionen. Zeitversetzte Ähnlichkeiten der Lebenswelten werden mit Himalaya-Fotos von heute und historischen Alpen-Bildern veranschaulicht. Dies wird durch die Gegenüberstellung von identischen Szenen aus beiden Lebensräumen erreicht. Die aktive Auseinandersetzung mit den Entwicklungen die-ser Themen in beiden Bergregionen steht im Mittelpunkt.

In partizipativ gestalteten Workshops beschäftigen sich die TeilnehmerInnen nicht nur mit entwicklungspolitischen Fragestellungen (MDGs), sondern setzen sich im Lichte der Globali-sierung mit der Situation in ihrem eigenen Lebensumfeld auseinander. Durch reflektierendes Gegenüberstellen von Situationen aus den 'anderen' und 'eigenen' Lebenswelten wird das Bewusstsein geschärft, dass in einer globalisierten Welt ein enger Zusammenhang zwischen lokalem Handeln und globalen Entwicklungen besteht. Schließlich werden Überlegungen zu Perspektiven und Entwicklungspotentialen für ein gemeinsames Morgen angestellt (Alpen & Himalaja: morgen). Als Zielgruppen werden insbesondere Menschen angesprochen, die sich ansonsten wenig mit entwicklungspolitischen Themen beschäftigen. Die Aktualisierung und inhaltliche Betreuung der bestehenden MDGs-Internet-Plattform (www.8goals4future.at) wird in das Ausstellungsprojekt integriert. Die Ausstellung mit Begleitprogramm wird in 4 österreichischen Gemeinden durchgeführt.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von EUR 22.000,- (50,91 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
