Overall goal


Das Projekt führt bei 30 Afar-Clans im Nordosten Äthiopiens eine 4-monatige Alphabetisierungskampagne durch mit einer anschließenden Auswahl der besten SchülerInnen zu LehrerInnen und SozialhelferInnen.

Die primäre Zielgruppen sind 30 verschiede Afar-Clans, die in der Zone 4, Woreda Awra und Woreda Uwa leben. Die Alphabetisierungskampagne zielt auf die gesamte Bevölkerung, die nach 6 Monaten beginnende anschließende Volksschulausbildung zielt auf die 6-15 jährigen Kinder und Jugendlichen ab.


Aktivitäten

- Rekrutierung von 30 Alphabetisierungs-Lehrern und in späterer Folge von 30 Clan-Lehrern

- Ausstattung der Lehrer mit Materialien (Unterricht, Schule, Überlebensset) und der Schüler mit Unterrichtsmaterialien und der Schulen mit Tischen und Bänken

- Abhaltung von Aus- und Fortbildungsseminaren für Lehrer

- Durchführung des alternativen Unterrichts durch eigens entwickelte Lernunterlagen für die Afar Kinder


Resultate und Indikatoren

- Insgesamt werden nach 3 Projektjahren 7200 ehemalige erwachsene Analphabeten lesen und schreiben können

- 30 ehemalige Analphabeten wurden zu Lehrern ausgebildet und wurden im Projekt angestellt und fortgebildet

- Insgesamt besuchen mindestens 600 Kinder regelmäßig den Volkschulunterricht und streben einen Volksschulabschluss an.

- Mindestens 10 APDA Mitarbeiter haben am Fortbildungsseminar über PM und Reporting, Controlling teilgenommen
