Overall goal



Lokaler Projektpartner ist eine Vereinigung von Jugendlichen bzw. jungen Erwachsenen in einem städtischen Vorort von Thies. Durch verschiedene Massnahmen soll diesen geholfen werden, einen bereits bestehenden Hühnermastbetrieb auszubauen und sich damit eine nachhaltige Lebensgrundage zu schaffen:

- Weiterbildung in Zuchtfragen, aber auch in Marketing und Internet-Kommunikation

- Entwicklung einer Organisationsstruktur und eines Businessplans mit Unterstützung lokaler Fachleute

- Ausbau des bestehenden Stallgeländes, u.a. Ausstattung mit einem Solarkocher

- Einrichtung eines Verkaufsstandes im Stadtzentrum und Aufbau eines Logistiksystems für den Verkauf


Das Projekt soll auch Modellcharakter für andere Kleinbetriebe in der Umgebung haben. Ein Prozentsatz der Gewinne aus dem Betrieb ist für lokal initiierte Sozialprojekte zweckgewidmet.

  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
