Projektziel:

Das Festival "Salam.Orient" findet jährlich im Oktober an verschiedenen Veranstaltungsorten statt und soll eine Gelegenheit bieten, sich mit der orientalischen Kunst und Kultur auseinanderzusetzen. Der diesjährige Schwerpunkt liegt auf Armenien und Palästina.

Erwartete Ergebnisse:

Das Festival bietet unterschiedliche Zugangsweisen und eine methodische Vielfalt (Konzerte, Lesung, Diskussionsabende) an. Insgesamt sollen die Aktivitäten 3.500- 4.000 Personen erreichen. Anlässlich der 100-Jahre Gedenkfeier des Genozids an den Armeniern im April 2015 sollen durch verschiedene Veranstaltungen an die Opfer erinnert werden.

Im Rahmen des Palästina-Schwerpunktes finden kulturelle Veranstaltungen statt, durch welche die palästinensische Kunst und Kultur einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht werden soll.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Zielgruppe/Partner/Region:

Zur Zielgruppe gehört eine breite Öffentlichkeit von kulturell Interessierten bis hin zu Kindern und Jugendlichen. Kooperationen finden mit der Palästinensisch-Österreichischen Gesellschaft sowie mit dem "Vienna Institute for International Dialogue and Cooperation" (VIDC) statt. Partner von Salam.Orient sind zudem der ORF Ö1/Radio sowie die „Wiener Zeitung“, die einige spezielle Berichte und Previews drucken werden.


Activities


Maßnahmen:

Die Aktivitäten umfassen im Palästina-Schwerpunkt Konzerte, die darauf abzielen, mittels poetisch - musikalischen Methoden eine breitere Wahrnehmung von Palästina zu erreichen. Zeitgenössische palästinensische Poesie, eigene Prosa und Lieder sowie Diskussionen stehen im Mittelpunkt.

Konkret finden ein Eröffnungskonzert „Le Trio Joubran/Palästina", sowie der Kulturabend „Hoffen auf den Olivenzweig – Saitun El Amal“ mit Viola Raheb und Marwan Abado/Österreich-Palästina" statt.

Im Rahmen des Armenien-Schwerpunktes finden Konzerte ("Onnik & Ara Dinkjian & Ensemble") sowie eine Lesung ("Fethiye Cetin – Lesung und Gespräch") statt, die sich den Themen armenische Diaspora sowie ArmenierInnen als Adoptivkinder von TürkInnen und KurdInnen widmen.

Beide Schwerpunkte werden von einem Dialog – Programm begleitet. Das Kinder – und Jugendprogramm besteht aus diversen orientalischen Musikgruppen.
