Overall goal


Ziel der technischen Unterstützung ist die Förderung des Koordinationsteams des Projekts "PPIG - Projet de Promotion de l´Irrigation Goute à Goute" (Projekt zum Ausbau der Tröpfchenbewässerung) in Burkina Faso. Das Team befindet sich in der dafür zuständigen Generaldirektion Wasserbau und Bewässerung (Direction Générale des Aménagements Hydrauliques et du Développement de l´Irrigation; DGAHDI) des burkinischen Landwirtschafts- und Wasserbauministeriums.


Expected results


Ein Endbericht soll erstellt werden, welcher die folgenden Themen abhandelt:

- Die Unterstützung zur Entwicklung privater Dienstleistungen im Bereich Tröpfchenbewässerung ist entwickelt.

- Spezialisierte Ausbildungsprogramme für technische Angestellte der Provinzverwaltungen im Bereich Landwirtschaft sind erarbeitet.

- Die Hilfestellungen für die Organisation der Wertschöpfungsketten im Bereich Gemüsebau sind definiert.

- Die Hilfestellungen für die Organisation und Strukturierung der AkteurInnen ist umgesetzt.

- Soziale und Umweltschutzaspekte in der Entwicklung der Tröpfchenbewässerung sind beachtet worden, vor allem im Bereich des Zugangs zu Ressourcen (Wasser, Land, etc. )

- Die nachhaltige Finanzierung von Tröpfchenbewässerungssystemen ist definiert.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Da das Projekt PPIG in vier Regionen Burkina Fasos aktiv ist (Boucle du Mouhoun, Centre-Ouest, Hauts-Bassins und Nord), werden auch die ausgewählten KonsulentInnen in diesen Regionen aktiv sein. Sitz des Koordinationsteams ist aber Ouagadougou. Die Anzahl der direkt Begünstigten wird bei 40 Personen liegen, vor allem im burkinischen Landwirtschafts- und Wasserbauministerium und andere Stakeholder des Projekts.


Activities


Zur Erstellung des Endberichts ist innerhalb der ersten 30 Tage ein Arbeitsplan über die gesamte Projektdauer von zehn Monaten vorzulegen. Narrative Zwischenberichte und drei Workshops dienen zur Informationsweitergabe und dem Monitoring des Projektfortschritts.


Zur Erstellung des Berichts soll zuerst der Ist-Zustand in Bezug auf DienstleistungsanbieterInnen, Vorwissen der handelnden AkteurInnen, Wertschöpfungsketten, Organisation der AnwenderInnen und vorhandene Ressourcen im Bereich Tröpfchenbewässerung ermittelt und analysiert werden. Darauf aufbauend sind die erwarteten Ergebnisse zu erarbeiten und mit den PartnerInnen zu entwickeln.


Context


Das Projekt PPIG ist in zehn Provinzen in vier Regionen Burkina Fasos aktiv. Diese Regionen wurden mit den ProjektpartnerInnen gemeinsam ausgewählt. Das Projekt hat ein Gesamtvolumen von über 2 Mio. EUR und trägt seit 2015 aktiv zur Ernährungssicherheit und nachhaltigen Einkommenserhöhung der rund 2000 TeilnehmerInnen bei.
