Overall goal


ATTAC ist Teil einer internationalen globalisierungskritischen Bewegung, die sich für eine demokratische und sozial gerechte Gestaltung der Weltwirtschaft einsetzt. ATTAC Österreich wurde 2000 gegründet und umfasst etwa 25 Regionalgruppen, 20 Inhaltsgruppen sowie rund 2.800 Mitglieder.


Die Veranstaltung einer jährlichen Sommerakademie stellt eine wesentliche Maßnahme der Bildungsarbeit dar. Im Juli 2008 findet die ATTAC-Sommerakademie in Steyr statt. Thematisch widmet sich die Veranstaltung dem Neoliberalismus, die kritische Auseinandersetzung und die Suche nach Alternativen stehen im Mittelpunkt. Das Programm besteht aus Podiumsdiskussionen, vertiefenden Workshops, und einem kulturellen Rahmenprogramm. Ca. 300 TeilnehmerInnen, Interessierte an globalisierungkritischen und entwicklungsbezogenen Themen und aus den verschiedenen Dialoggruppen des Netzwerks, werden erwartet. Die Veranstaltung findet unter Einbindung der lokalen Bevölkerung statt, nationale, regionale und lokale Medienarbeit ist vorgesehen.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvoumen von Euro 26.654,00 in der Höhe von Euro 3.800,00 (14,26 %) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
