Overall goal


Weltumspannend arbeiten ist der entwicklungspolitische Verein des ÖGB. Zentrales Anliegen der Bildungs- und Informationsarbeit ist es, die Globalisierung der Arbeits- und Lebenswelt anhand von Beispielen zu beleuchten, den Austausch von Erfahrungen zu ermöglichen. Die Zielgruppen sind ArbeitnehmerInnen, Betriebsräte und Gewerkschaftsmitglieder, TeilnehmerInnen der Gewerkschaftsschulen, Lehrlinge, Berufsschüler_innen sowie zivilgesellschaftliche AkteurInnen und KonsumentInnen. Das Programm stellt eine Fortführung bewährter Maßnahmen und Weiterentwicklung der Arbeit im gewerkschaftlichen Umfeld dar.

Erwartete Ergebnisse: 2015-16 werden die entwicklungspolitischen Angebote als fixer Bestandteil im Bildungsprogramm der Gewerkschaftsschulen in 6 Bundesländern und der Betriebsratsakademie verankert. Es werden rd. 50 mehrtägige Seminare, Workshops und Diskussionsveranstaltungen zu entwicklungspolitischen Themen österreichweit durchgeführt. Politische, wirtschaftliche, soziale Entwicklungen in Afrika sowie die Rolle von Gewerkschaften und sozialen Bewegungen werden am Beispiel von Tunesien, Südafrika, Tansania und Burkina Faso im Rahmen der Länder- und Konzernarbeit beleuchtet.Vertiefende Analysen, Fallstudien und Dokumentationen finden mittels einer Recherche-Reise (Tunesien) statt. Eine Begegnungsreise (Tunesien) wird organisiert. (Inter)nationale Netzwerke und begleitende Öffentlichkeitsarbeit (2 Speakers‘ Touren, 2 Delegationsbesuche aus globalem Süden) werden gestärkt, Publikationen, Bildungsmaterialien (Ausstellung anlässlich des EYD 2015 zu Arbeits- und Lebenswelten in Afrika) erstellt, Filmtage in Kooperation mit Kulturinstitutionen an 3 Standorten in Österreich organisiert, sowie mittels Medienarbeit breitenwirksam informiert. Insgesamt werden mit dem Projekt durch Veranstaltungen ca. 3000 Personen direkt, mittels Artikel in Medien sowie Ausstellung und Filmtage ca. 1,5 Mio Menschen in Österreich erreicht.
