Overall goal


Die gewaltsamen Unruhen zwischen Israelis und Palästinensern, die nunmehr seit September 2000 in unterschiedlicher Intensität andauern, haben dramatische ökonomische Auswirkungen auf das Leben aller Palästinenser in West Bank und Gaza Streifen Die ökonomischen Aktivitäten sind weitgehend zum Stillstand gekommen. Die Weltbank geht davon aus, dass ca. 43% der Bevölkerung unter der Armutsgrenze leben. Die Palästinensische Autonomiebehörde ist nicht mehr in der Lage, öffentliche Dienstleistungen für die Bevölkerung zu erbringen.


Die Flüchtlinge von 1948 (und 1967) zählen naturgemäß von zu den ärmsten Bevölkerungsgruppen. UNRWA bildet nun zumindest in den Flüchtlingslagern das institutionelle Rückgrat für die Aufrechterhaltung eines Mindestmaßes an sozialen Leistungen.


Dieses Projekt stellt einen Beitrag zum UNRWA Emergeny Appeal 2006 dar, der die folgenden Bereiche abdeckt:


- Schaffung von vorübergehenden Einkommensmöglichkeiten

- Nahrungsmittelhilfe

- Gesundheitsversorgung in der West Bank durch mobile Kliniken

- Cash-Assistance für besondere Notfälle

- Unterstützung für UNRWA's Operation's Support Officer Programm

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
