Overall goal


Im Anschluß an die UN Frauenkonferenz 1995 in Peking wurde eine Plattform gegründet, die die Umsetzung der Konferenzergebnisse betreiben sollte. 10 Jahre danach sollen die Resultate evaluiert werden. 2004 gab es eine afrikanische Vorbereitungskonferenz in Addis Abeba. Im Februar 2005 gibt es nun eine Konferenz der Commission on the Status of Women in New York, die weltweit Frauen zur Diskussion über die Erreichung der Ziele von 1995 zusammenführt und den Namen "Beijing+10 Review" trägt.

Zu dieser Konferenz, die von 27.2. bis 11.3. stattfindet, sollen auch 6 Frauen aus den westafrikanischen Partnerländern Kap Verde, Senegal und Burkina Faso reisen können. Durch die Planung verschiedener Aktivitäten sollen die Ergebnisse der Konferenz dann wieder in die strategische Arbeit für Frauen in der Region in den NGOs und im staatlichen Bereich fliessen.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
