Overall goal


Die Republik Moldau ist einer der ärmsten Staaten Europas; ein Viertel der Bevölkerung ist in das Ausland abgewandert. Im transnistrischen Gebiet gestaltet sich die Situation noch schwieriger. 85% der Bevölkerung leben unter der Armutsgrenze. Die Arbeitslosenzahlen steigen und viele verlassen das Land um woanders Arbeit zu finden. Viele Kinder werden zurückgelassen, bei den Großeltern, manche gänzlich alleine. Eines der größten Probleme stellt die Jugendkriminalität und der Alkoholismus unter den Straßenkindern bzw. den stark vernachlässigten Kindern dar, sowie die Stigmatisierung und Ausgrenzung seitens der Gesellschaft.

Das Caritas Krisenzentrum "Petruska" in Tiraspol, der zweitgrößten Stadt Moldaus in der transnistrischen Region, nimmt sich Kindern und Jugendlichen in Not an, dessen Kernziel die Reintegration der Kinder in ihre Familien ist.

Die Kinder sind im Krisen- und Tageszentrum zwischen 6 und 14 Jahre alt, kommen von der Straße, aus staatlichen Heimen oder sozial benachteiligten Familien. 25 Kinder wohnen im Krisenzentrum, 35 Burschen und Mädchen besuchen täglich das Tageszentrum und weitere 6 Jugendliche finden Unterkunft und psychosoziale Betreuung in drei eigens dafür errichteten Apartments, unweit des Krisenzentrums. Im nahegelegenen Pfarr-Jugendzentrum, das sich noch im Bau befindet, soll es in der Zukunft durch zusätzliche Angebote die Möglichkeit geben, Qualifikationen für den Arbeitsmarkt zu erwerben und "Life-skills"-Werkzeuge für die Bewältigung des Alltags zu erlernen.

Im vorliegenden Projekt ist geplant, die Qualifizierung der MitarbeiterInnen durch Trainings und Austausch mit anderen Organisationen, die in der Arbeit mit Straßenkindern und Familien in Krisensituationen Erfahrung haben, zu ermöglichen. Darüber hinaus soll die Positionierung des Zentrums in Tiraspol durch Lobbying und Advocacy gestärkt werden.
