Overall goal


Die Frauensolidarität betreut an den 160 Öffnungstagen jährlich rund 1.000 BibliotheksbesucherInnen, bearbeitet ca. 400 telefonische und schriftliche Anfragen und verleiht ca. 2.000 Dokumente. Diese Leistungen werden in Koordination mit anderen entwicklungspolitischen Bibliotheks- und Dokumentationsstellen (insbesondere dem Lateinamerika-Institut, der Österreichischen Forschungsstiftung für Entwicklungshilfe und Baobab) erbracht.


Der Bestand weist rund 7.000 Monografien aus. Es werden jährlich rund 400 Monografien, 700 Zeitschriftenartikel und 20 Videos inhaltlich und formal erschlossen. Es werden 120 Periodika betreut und es gibt eine Presse-, Gruppen- und Fotodokumentation.

Die Bestände sind über ein gemeinsames Portal dieser Organisationen online recherchierbar und zugänglich. Seit 2005 ist die Bibliothek auch an den österreichischen Bibliothekenverbund angeschlossen. Die Frauensolidarität organisiert zudem Lesungen zu Frauenliteratur und mit Präsentationen entwicklungspolitischer Facharbeiten mit Genderrelevanz.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 105.550,- in der Höhe von EUR 97.000,- (91,90%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
