Overall goal


Baobab ist in den letzten Jahren zu einem der wichtigsten Akteure in der Auseinandersetzung, Bekanntmachung und Umsetzung von Globalem Lernen in Österreich geworden. In den vergangenen 2 Schuljahren hat Baobab ein Pilotprojekt in 4 Wiener Schulbezirken durchgeführt, dessen Ziel es war, zunächst die DirektorInnen und die zuständigen BezirksschulinspektorInnen über Globales Lernen zu informieren und in einer zweiten Phase Seminare für LehrerInnen anzubieten. Nach der erfolgreichen Durchführung der Pilotphase wird dieses Projekt fortgesetzt und erweitert, sodass im Laufe der 3-jährigen Projektphase alle Schulbezirke Wiens von dem Projekt erfasst werden.

Das Projekt nutzt die formale Schulhierarchie und bestehende schulische Kommunikationsstrukturen ("Leitersitzungen"), um dem Konzept bzw. der Verbreitung des Globalen Lernens größeres Gewicht zu geben und die Akzeptanz für Globales Lernen auf mehreren schulischen Ebenen zu fördern. Mit dem Projekt wird in erster Linie die Zielgruppe von EntscheidungsträgerInnen angesprochen, deren Akzeptanz und Verständnis für die Bedeutung des Globalen Lernens eine wichtige Voraussetzung für eine stärkere und dauerhafte Verankerung dieses Bildungskonzeptes im Alltag einzelner Schulen darstellt. Die von der UNO ausgerufene Dekade "Bildung für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung", die vom BM:BWK ab dem Schuljahr 2004/2005 ebenfalls verstärkt Initiative fordert, ist eng mit den Intentionen des Globalen Lernens verknüpft. Es ist zu erwarten, dass das BM:BWK zur UN-Dekade zu Schulinitiativen aufrufen und möglicherweise selbst auch entsprechende Initiativen propagieren wird. Zielgruppen sind BezirksschulinspektorInnen, DirektorInnen und LehrerInnen in Wien.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 42.870,00 in der Höhe von

EUR 34.870,00 (81,34 %) für eine 3-jährige Projektphase gefördert.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
