Ziel des Projektes ist der Aufbau einer nachhaltigen Bio-Wertschöpfungskette in Bosnien und Herzegowina für Heil- und Gewürzkräuter.


Expected results


Das Ziel ist erreicht, wenn…

- die landwirtschaftlichen Flächen von Verwucherung und Kriegsruinen bereinigt sind und bewirtschaftet werden.

- Bio als Qualitätsstandard eingeführt ist.

- Bosnische Heil- und Gewürzkräuter in die EU geliefert werden.


Target group / Beneficiaries


Von dem Projekt profitieren 15 Kleinbauern. Nach der Projektlaufzeit wird sich diese Zahl vervielfachen. Daneben ist insbesondere die Gemeinde Derventa (lokale Unternehmen, Schutz der Ressourcen, Arbeitsplatzschaffung etc.) Nutznießer. Insgesamt werden mindestens 1080 Personen (davon ca. 70 Flüchtlingsfamilien) einen Nutzen aus dem Projekt haben. Es werden mind. 5 Vollzeit- und 20 saisonale Jobs geschaffen.


Projektregion ist die Gemeinde Bosanska Posavina/Derventa im Nor-den von Bosnien und Herzegowina. Das Sammeln und der Anbauen von Wild- und Heilkräutern hat lange Tradition in der Region.


Activities


Durch die Reinigung der Verwucherungen werden neue landwirtschaftliche Flächen geschaffen und es wird den dortigen BewohnerInnen eine neue Lebensgrundlage gegeben. Dies unterstützt auch die Wiederansiedlung von Flüchtlingsfamilien. Die Trocknung und Aufberei-tung der Kräuter wird vor Ort (Know-how und Technologietransfer) geschehen. Die Kräuter selbst werden nach strengen Standards Bio zertifiziert. Das garantiert den Schutz der Ressourcen sowie ein nachhaltiges Wirtschaften. Wichtiger Teil des Projektes ist zudem die Aufbereitung der Kräuter für den europäischen Markt.


Context


Die Antragstellerin lebt in Österreich und ist selbst ein bosnischer Flüchtling. Daher ist ihr die Region auch persönlich ein großes Anliegen. Dieses Projekt hat Grünes Licht gemeinsam mit Bosna raste organski/Bosnia grows organic d.o.o. und HerbaPack entwickelt.
