Die Publikation "Norden. Süden. Cyberspace. Text und Technik gegen die Ungleichheit" (Hanna Hacker, Wien: Promedia Verlag, erschienen 2007, Auflage: 800 Stück) untersucht in feministischer und postkolonialer Perspektive den Überschneidungsbereich von Techno-Wissenschaften, Cyberphilosophien und internationaler Entwicklung. Die Autorin analysiert Text- und Bildproduktionen aus dem Bereich der Medien-, Entwicklungs- und Minderheitenpolitik zwischen etwa 1995 und 2005, in den Zeiten des Hypes virtueller Realitäten, des Dotcomcrash und der Formierung der Rede von der globalen Informationsgesellschaft.


Im Rahmen der Projektförderung werden Werbe- und Vertriebsmaßnahmen in österreichischen Bundesländern außerhalb Wiens durchgeführt. Im Zeitraum Oktober 2007 bis März 2008 finden mehrere Präsentationsveranstaltungen in Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Partnern (NGOs, akademische Einrichtungen, Kulturveranstalter) statt. Das Programm umfasst Lesungen bzw. Vortrag zum Buch, Publikumsdiskussion, Multimediapräsentation und Büchertisch.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
