Overall goal


Die Publikation behandelt politische Strukturen Lateinamerikas und geht der Frage nach, ob die Mehrheit der linksgerichteten Regierungen als strukturelle Veränderung im Sinne eines politischen Paradigmenwechsels im politischen Machtgefüge Lateinamerikas zu sehen sind, oder ob es sich um kurzfristige Phänomene handelt. Ausgehend von diesen Fragestellungen beleuchten verschiedene AutorInnen das Spannungsfeld zwischen Zivilgesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Staat aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven. Dabei spielt die sozialanthropologische Darstellung und Erörterung der jeweiligen politischen Volkskulturen eine ebenso große Rolle, wie die politologische Aufarbeitung der Institutionen des Nationalstaats und die wirtschaftspolitische Analyse der Globalisierungsprozesse in Lateinamerika. In diesen Zusammenhängen soll der Hypothese nachgegangen werden, dass die geopolitische Wende auf eine Politisierung der durch Jahrhunderte unterdrückten oder instrumentalisierten Volkskulturen zurückzuführen ist. Die Zielgruppe umfasst StudentInnen, Lehrende sowie ein politisch und entwicklungspolitisch interessiertes Publikum. Die Distribution des Buches erfolgt über den Einsatz in Ringvorlesungen, Buchpräsentationen, Bewerbung in Medien, Rezensionen und die Vorstellung bei großen Buchmessen.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 11.034,00 in der Höhe von EUR Euro 2.500,00- (22,66%) gefördert.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
