Overall goal


Ziel des Projekts ist die Publikation eines Buches - das letzte aus einer Reihe von Portraits von afrikanischen Städten, die im Mandelbaum Verlag erschienen sind. Die Autorin Margit Niederhuber zeigt in 'Networking in Dakar' Menschen deren Biografien, Engagement, Erfahrungen und Hoffnungen eng mit dieser Stadt verbunden sind. Die persönlichen Geschichten ermöglichen einen Blick auf die kulturelle Vielfalt und Lebendigkeit der Stadt. Ergänzt wird dies durch einen literarischen Text der senegalesischen Schriftstellerin Ken Bugul.

Die Publikation wendet sich an ein entwicklungspolitisch und kulturell interessiertes Publikum, eine breite Öffentlichkeit im deutschsprachigen Raum und neue Teilöffentlichkeiten außerhalb des entwicklungspolitischen Bereichs.


Activities


Bewerbung im Mandelbaum Verlag Herbstkatalog 2015 (Auflage 8000 Stück, an Buchhandlungen, JournalistInnen und interessierte Privatpersonen) und durch Buchpräsentationen. Weiters wirs das Buch bei der Frankfurter Buchmesse 2016 und der Leipziger Buchmesse im März 2016 ausgestellt.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvoumen von Euro 13.622 mit Euro 2.500 (18,35%) gefördert.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
