Overall goal


Das Mikroprojekt hat zum Ziel, ein community based EDV-Schulungsinstitut in Nord Nigeria zu errichten. Projekt Region ist Kachia südlich von Kaduna in nord Nigeria, spezieller Fokus wird auf Kachia und die ländlichen Gebiete rund um Kachia gelegt. Zwei Räume (50 m²) werden zusammengelegt, umgebaut, eingerichtet und mit PCs ausgestattet, um EDV-Schulungen lokal zu ermöglichen. Dies kommt der Region zugute, weil sie von informationstechnologischer Versorgung abgeschnitten ist.


Primäre Zielgruppe des Projekts stellen SchülerInnen und Jugendliche dar, vor allem SchülerInnen können vom praktischen Wissen der EDV - Anwendung profitieren, sei es für ein zukünftiges Studium oder für den Beruf. Des weiteren können sie sich durch das Internet mit anderen SchülerInnen weltweit vernetzen, Erfahrungen und Wissen austauschen, E-Learning-Programme absolvieren und ihren Horizont erweitern.

Auch andere Gruppen, wie Lehrer, Beamte, PrivatinteressentInnen können an den Schulungen teilhaben, im speziellen sollen Frauen dazu ermuntert werden, sich dieser Technologie zu öffnen. Bei einem früheren Projekt wurden dazu eigens weibliche EDV - Trainerinnen ausgebildet.


Dieser Vorschag ist aus der Community entstanden. Eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit der Community wird auch über die Projektlaufzeit hinaus angestrebt.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
