Overall goal



Um die Gesundheitsversorgung für sozial schwache Personen in der Region Dusheti (ca. 60 km nördlich von Tiflis) sicher zu stellen, ist ein Büro für die medizinische Unterstützung des Kinderspitals Dusheti (Health Care Center) geplant, in dem sechs ÄrztInnen, zwei TherapeutInnen, ein Fahrer und eine Bürokraft tätig sein werden. Das Zentrum dient als Gesundheitseinrichtung für Menschen aus 16 Bergdörfern, in denen bislang so gut wie keine medizinische Versorgung gegeben ist. Von dieser Basisstation aus sollen regelmäßige Visiten mobiler ÄrztInnenteams in den Dörfern erfolgen.


Die Projektaktivitäten umfassen - neben der Grundausstattung des Centers mit einem Geländefahrzeug, Büro- und medizinischen Diagnosegeräten sowie der Startfinanzierung der mobilen Teams - auch gezielte Therapieprogramme (v.a. für Kinder mit Lungenkrankheiten, orhtopädischen oder logopädischen Problemen) sowie Kurse und Ausbildungsmaßnahmen für die DorfbewohnerInnen.
