Overall goal


fran:cultures ist eine Kulturplattform, die im Juli 2007 gegründet wurde und das Ziel hat, frankophone Kulturen in Österreich und den Nachbarländern zu fördern. Dabei umfasst das Angebot Filmvorführungen, Theaterstücke, Foto-Gemälde- und Kunstausstellungen, Konzerte, Symposien und Konferenzen, sowie Begegnungen mit AutorInnen und Filmschaffenden. Mit einem Zyklus von 6 neuen afrikanischen Filmen möchte der Verein dem österreichischen Publikum ein differenziertes Afrikabild näher bringen. Thematisch orientieren sich die Filme an sozialer Ausgrenzung, Armutsbekämpfung und der Benachteiligung von Frauen. Die Filme aus Benin, Kongo, Tschad, Senegal, Äthiopien und Marokko werden im Metro Kino Wien, Das Kino in Salzburg und im Linzer Moviemento gezeigt und RegiesseurInnen und HauptdarstellerInnen zu den Premieren eingeladen. Im Anschluss an die Vorführungen sind Diskussionsrunden mit österreichischen und afrikanischen ExpertInnen zum jeweiligen Thema geplant. Zusätzlich werden eigene Schulvorstellungen und Diskussionsrunden mit SchülerInnen organisiert und pädagogisches Material für den Unterricht erstellt. Das Projekt richtet sich an Film- und entwicklungspolitisch Interessierte sowie an LehrerInnen und SchülerInnen.

Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 79.240,00 in der Höhe von EUR Euro 5.000,00- (6,31 %) gefördert.
