Overall goal


Ziel des vorliegenden Projekt ist es, die Lebensbedingungen von Frauen in ländlichen Gebieten des Kosovo, die Opfer häuslicher Gewalt wurden oder potentielle Opfer sind, durch Förderung der Schaffung einer von häuslicher Gewalt freien Umgebung zu verbessern.


Im Rahmen des Projekts wird die lokale NGO Liria dabei unterstützt, das Phänomen der häuslichen Gewalt im Kosovo, insbesondere in der Gemeinde Gjilan und Umgebung, zu bekämpfen.


Das Vorhaben unterstützt die Aktivitäten des Frauenhauses, welches von der NGO Liria geführt wird. Diese Aktivitäten umfassen die Gewährung von Unterkunft und Schutz für weibliche Opfer häuslicher Gewalt und deren Kinder im Frauenhaus, psychosoziale Unterstützung der Opfer, weitreichende und zielgerichtete Aufklärungsmaßnahmen für Frauen im Zuge speziell entwickelter Kampagnen und Workshops, sowie Maßnahmen mit dem Ziel der sozialen und wirtschaftlichen Reintegration und die Vorbereitung auf ein Leben nach dem Frauenhaus. Der Opferschutz wird auf physischer Ebene wie durch Begleitmaßnahmen verstärkt, wobei mit Gerichten und der Polizei kooperiert wird.


Weiters wird auf Policy-Ebene die Entwicklung und Umsetzung von effektiven Politiken zur Bekämpfung häuslicher Gewalt und zum Schutz und zur Unterstützung der Opfer von häuslicher Gewalt unterstützt. Eine verstärkte Einbindung der lokalen und zentralen Institutionen mit dem Ziel gestärkter institutioneller Verantwortlichkeit und Responsivität geht damit einher.


Das Vorhaben wird von der Gemeinde Gjilan und dem kosovarischen Ministerium für Arbeit und Soziales unterstützt.
