Overall goal


Mit der CorporAID Plattform 2016 möchte ICEP den Entwicklungsnutzen und die Effizienz von unternehmerischen Aktivitäten in Entwicklungsländern steigern und damit den Beitrag der österreichischen Wirtschaft zur Erreichung der Nachhaltigen Entwicklungsziele (SDG´s) erhöhen. Das betrifft klassische Geschäftsprozesse (Markterschließung, Einkauf, Mitarbeiterqualifikation, Innovation...) ebenso wie die Nachhaltigkeits-/Verantwortungsagenda von Unternehmen.


Expected results


Die Initiative zielt darauf ab, (1) den Entwicklungsbeitrag der Aktivitäten österreichischer Unternehmen in Schwellen- und Entwicklungsländern zu steigern; (2) die Kohärenz von Wirtschaft und Entwicklung in Österreich zu stärken; (3) das Profil einer wirtschaftsorientierten Entwicklungszusammenarbeit in Österreich zu schärfen und (4) eine nachfrageorientierte corporAID Plattform weiterzuentwickeln.

Die Zielgruppe der corporAID Plattform 2016 ist die österreichische Wirtschaft.


Activities


Um die Projektziele zu erreichen, werden (1) Geschäftschancen in Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländern sowie Good Practices, Wissen und Tools zur Operationalisierung aufgezeigt und vermittelt; (2) Diskussionsformate und Interaktion zwischen Akteuren der Wirtschaft, Entwicklungszusammenarbeit, Politik und Verwaltung aufgesetzt und moderiert; (3) Information und Expertise zu wirtschaftsorientierter Entwicklungszusammenarbeit bereitgestellt und die Rolle von Unternehmen für Entwicklungsprozesse aufgezeigt. (4) Zusätzlich wird mit den Vertretern der Wirtschaft in Dialog getreten.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
