Zusatz zu Vertrag 8090-00/2005: Als Follow up zum Genfer-Seminar wird eine hochrangig besetzte Veranstaltung in Wien stattfinden und zu aktuellen Fragen und Prozessen am Westbalkan diskutieren. Als konkreter Output des Seminars wird wenige Wochen nach Abschluss ein hochwertiges Policy-Brief-Paper konzipiert, in welchem Vorschläge und Empfehlungen für die Lösung der anstehenden Probleme der Länder des Westbalkans angeboten werden. Dieses Paper wird selbstverstädnlich dem österreichischen Außenamt und anderen Entscheidungsträgern zur Verfügung stehen. Zusätzlich sollen redigierte Beiträge des Seminars im Jänner 2006 publiziert werden und gemeinsam mit dem österreichischen Aussenamt mit Beginn der EU-Präsidentschaft im Jänner 2006 in Wien der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert werden. Nicht zuletzt sollen die Ergebnisse des sog. Wiener-Seminars in die Vorbereitungen der finnischen EU-Präsidentschaft einfließen können und ggf. in Abstimmungen zu einer ähnlichen Veranstaltung münden.

Nach der erfolgreich verlaufenden internationalen Konferenz in Genf am 20. und 21. Oktober 2005 hat sich die Assoziation Bosnien-Herzegowina 2005 auf verschiedene "Follow up" Projekte konzentriert. So ist vor allem im Hinblick auf die kommende österreichische EU-Präsidentschaft ein hochrangig besetztes geschlossenes Seminar mit zahlreichen öffentlichen Begleitaktivitäten zur regionalen Entwicklung am Balkan für den 18. November 2005 in Wien geplant - ein Vorhaben, das in Partnerschaft mit London School of Economics umgesetzt wird.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
