Overall goal


Bei dem Projekt handelt es sich um die Postproduktion des Dokumentarfilms ‚Griqua und ihr Kampf um Land im Neuen Südafrika‘.

Der 45-minütige Film basiert auf einem 6-monatigen Dreh in Südafrika, der wissenschaftlich durch zwei SozialanthropologInnen (Erwin Schweitzer, Kathrin Gradt) begleitet wurde.


Im Zentrum des Films steht das Bemühen der Griqua, einer indigenen Gruppe, nach dem Ende der Apartheid in Südafrika Land zurück zu erhalten und dieses für wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Entwicklung nutzbar zu machen. An konkreten Landnutzungs- und Landforderungsprojekten sowie Interviews mit ExpertInnen wird nicht nur die Landfrage verdeutlicht, sondern auch deren Beziehung zu Menschenrechten, Entwicklungspolitik, Armutsbekämpfung und Umweltschutz. Des Weiteren wird die unterstützende und begleitende Rolle von europäischen und internationalen EZA-Akteuren thematisiert.


Die Dokumentation versteht sich als Beitrag zum European Year for Development (EYD) 2015. Über Vorführungen bei Filmfestivals, Präsentationen bei Veranstaltungen, Vertrieb von DVDs sowie TV-Ausstrahlungen (geplant) soll eine möglichst breite Öffentlichkeit erreicht werden. Zielgruppen: Fernsehpublikum, Studierende, interessierte Öffentlichkeit.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 14.580 mit Euro 8.000 gefördert.
