Overall goal


Der 45-minütige Dokumentarfilm Menschenrechtsstädte dieser Welt ist der zweite Teil eines Filmprojekts zum Thema Menschenrechte von sustainable - Agentur für Nachhaltigkeit. Die beiden Dokumentationen Graz - Stadt der Menschenrechte (30 Minuten) und Menschenrechtsstädte dieser Welt (45 Minuten) wurden in Kooperation mit dem ORF Landesstudio Steiermark produziert und 2007 bzw. im November 2008 auf ORF und 3sat ausgestrahlt.


Der Film Menschenrechtsstädte dieser Welt zeigt anhand von Aktivisten in vier Menschenrechtsstädten, was die UNO Menschenrechte sechzig Jahre nach dem Beschluss durch die UNO Vollversammlung am 10. Dezember 1948 bedeuten. Regisseur Gernot Lercher und Kameramann Erhard Seidl porträtieren Rosario/Argentinien, Edmonton/Kanada, Korogocho/Kenia und die steirische Landeshauptstadt Graz, die seit dem Jahr 2000 die auf die Israelitin Shulamit König zurückgehende Selbstverpflichtung zur "Stadt der Menschenrechte" eingegangen ist.


Gefördert wird die Herstellung von 2.000 DVDs des Films, die sich v.a. an die Zielgruppe SchülerInnen und Jugendliche, LehrerInnen, aber auch an MenschenrechtsaktivistInnen und Wirtschaftstreibende wenden.


Die Verteilung bzw. der Verleih für Schulen erfolgt über den Landesschulrat Steiermark und das Unterrichtsministerium. Kopien beider Filme werden auch an MultiplikatorInnen, NGOs, MenschenrechtsaktivistInnen und an weitere Menschenrechtsstädte verteilt.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 16.029,55 in der Höhe von EUR 5.000,00 (31,19%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
