Overall goal


Kosovo verfügt über eine außerordentliche Biodiversität, die auch international unterstrichen wird. Diese Tatsache ist jedoch der lokalen Bevölkerung und vielen Entscheidungsträgern auf regionaler und überregionaler Ebene sehr oft nicht bewusst, was u. a. zum mehrmaligen Scheitern des Projekts der Gründung eines Nationalparks in der Bergregion Bjeshket e Nemuna/Prokletije geführt hat. Das Projekt konzentriert sich auf diese genannte Region, besonders auf das Rugova Valley.


Mit dem Projekt wird die Projektpartnerorganisation 'Environmentally Responsible Action' (ERA) als lokales Informations- und Bildungszentrum und als Koordinator der Arbeit anderer regionaler NGOs gestärkt. Das Ziel ist die Bildung des Umweltbewusstseins bei der lokalen Bevölkerung und bei der Verwaltung sowie das Wecken ihrer Aufmerksamkeit auf die Biodiversität in der Region. Weiters soll die grenzenübergreifende Zusammenarbeit und der Erfahrungsaustausch mit NGOs aus den Nachbarnländern entwickelt werden. All das wird in weiterer Perspektive ermöglichen, einen Nationalpark und später einen internationalen 'Peace Park' zu gründen.

Das Projekt richtet sich an MitarbeiterInnen und Freiwillige der Partnerorganisation ERA sowie anderer umweltengagierten NGOs in Kosovo und in den Nachbarländern, Entscheidungsträger und Vertreter der entsprechenden Verwaltung, die lokale Bevölkerung, vor allem Jugendliche, Eltern, LehrerInnen usw., lokale Presse und Journalisten.


Erwartete Resultate:

- Netzwerk von 11 NGOs und Entscheidungsträgern in Kosovo ist gegründet..

- Kooperation zwischen lokalen NGOs und Entscheidungsträger und anderen internationalen Akteuren ist gestärkt.

- Umweltbewusstsein bei lokaler Bevölkerung, Entscheidungsträgern ist erhöht (mind. 1000 Schüler und 4.000

weitere Personen durch Kampagne erreicht).

- ERA ist als Bildungszentrum auf lokaler und überregionaler Ebene präsent.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
