Overall goal



Heftige Regenfälle im Juli und August 2006 haben zu Überflutungen in weiten Teilen Äthiopiens geführt, so auch in der Provinz Gondar (Region Amhara), einem Zielgebiet des OEZA-Landesprogramms Äthiopien.


Zur Sicherung der Erfolge der Projekte in dieser Region sollen nun die Soforthilfemaßnahmen des Äthiopischen Roten Kreuzes (Ethiopian Red Cross Society, ECRS) unterstützt werden, im besonderen


- Wasseraufbereitung für die betroffenen Haushalte und Rehabilitierung von in Mitleidenschaft gezogenen Brunnen

- Sensibilisierung der Bevölkerung für Hygieneprobleme und Beobachtung des möglichen Ausbruchs von Krankheiten

- Verteilung von Haushaltsartikeln als Ersatz für verlorene Güter

  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
