Das Bildungsprogramm ‚Development, the MDGs and Beyond 2015 – A European Programme for Global Citizenship for University Students‘ bietet Studierenden die Möglichkeit, sich intensiv mit globalen Herausforderungen zu beschäftigen. Von 2013 bis 2015 entwickeln NGOs gemeinsam mit Studierenden und Universitäten in Irland, Malta, Österreich und Zypern unter dem Titel ‚Global Campus – Students for global Justice‘ Bildungsangebote dazu. Sie bedienen sich dabei Zugängen wie Globales Lernen und Global Citizenship und stellen u. a. die Millenniumsentwicklungsziele in Diskussion. In Österreich wird Global Campus in Graz, Innsbruck und Wien in Kooperation mit den österreichischen Universitäten vor Ort umgesetzt.

Im Rahmen von sechs Durchläufen der ‚Global Campus Filmtage‘ werden Spielfilme, Dokumentationen und Kurzfilme zu entwicklungspolitischen Themen gezeigt und mit Publikum, ExpertInnen und Studierenden diskutiert. Drei inhaltlich fokussierte Ausstellungen thematisieren globale Herausforderungen und schaffen über ein Rahmenprogramm die Möglichkeit zur Reflexion und Diskussion. Sechs Vortragsreihen mit ExpertInnen zu verschiedenen Themengebieten und Bildungszugängen bieten die Chance, über einen längeren Zeitraum hinweg über globale Entwicklungen zu diskutieren und das Konzept des Globalen Lernens kennenzulernen. Im Rahmen der jährlich durchgeführten Südwind Academy treffen sich Studierende aus ganz Österreich und überlegen gemeinsam mit ExpertInnen, wie politisches Engagement in einer globalisierten Welt aussehen kann. Arbeitskreise und Austauschtreffen mit Angehörigen von Universitäten in Graz, Innsbruck und Wien tragen dazu bei, Globales Lernen im tertiären Bildungssektor zu stärken.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von Euro 1.179.574 in der Höhe von Euro 53.900 (4,57%) gefördert.
