Overall goal


Südwind Entwicklungspolitik Niederösterreich in St. Pölten bietet die Weiterführung des Basisangebots für entwicklungspolitische Bildungs- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit in seiner Region. Die Mediathek, die Beratungstätigkeit, die Vermittlung von ReferentInnen sowie die Unterstützung von LehrerInnen und anderen MultiplikatorInnen bei lokalen Aktionen stehen im Mittelpunkt der Servicestelle. Das bisher aufgebaute Profil - Landwirtschaft, Gender, Umwelt, Entwicklung und Nachhaltigkeit sowie Fairer Handel - wird beibehalten und vertieft.


In den Jahren 2010 bis 2012 wird der Bestand der Mediathek weiter ausgebaut und die Öffentlichkeitsarbeit verstärkt. Durch neue Verleihbedingungen (z.B. Semesterpass für LehrerInnen) und eine Ausrichtung des Bestandes für LehrerInnen und MulitplikatorInnen (verstärkter Ankauf von Unterrichtsmaterialien) wird eine erhöhte Frequentierung der Mediathek erwartet. Kooperationspartner ist die entwicklungspolitische Bildungs- und Schulstelle Baobab.


In der Bildungsarbeit wird auf die Zielgruppe LehrerInnen fokussiert. Südwind NÖ ist verstärkt in der LehrerInnenfortbildung tätig und bietet Seminare zum Globalen Lernen an pädagogischen Hochschulen (z.B. Baden) an. Entwicklungspolitische Fragestellungen werden thematisiert, wobei internationale Anlässe und Ereignisse berücksichtigt werden.


Das Projekt ist ein Beitrag zum Themenschwerpunkt Ke Nako Afrika. Es führt den seit 2008 gesetzten Fokus Äthiopien, Schwerpunktland des Landes Niederösterreich, bis 2012 fort. Zum Beispiel wird anlässlich der Fußballweltmeisterschaft eine Afrika Fußball Erlebnisstation für Erwachsene und Kinder angeboten.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 259.000,00 in der Höhe von EUR 125.000,- (48,26%) gefördert.
