Overall goal


Das AAI Salzburg versteht sich als interkulturelles Begegnungszentrum und bietet ein internationales entwicklungspolitisches Bildungs- und Kulturprogramm. Das Institut fühlt sich dem Prinzip der Gleichrangigkeit der Kulturen und den Inhalten der Inter- und Transkultur- Konzepte verpflichtet. Menschen aus verschiedenen Kulturen haben die Möglichkeit ihre vielfältigen interkulturellen & interreligiösen Ressourcen zu präsentieren, in Form von interkulturellen Abenden, Dialog, Kunst und Literatur.


Zu den gesellschaftspolitischen, wirtschaftlichen und kulturellen Aktivitäten zählen Vorträge, Seminare, Workshops, Podiumsveranstaltungen, Kulturveranstaltungen, Film mit Diskussion und Lesungen. Dies wird von Öffentlichkeits- und Pressearbeit begleitet.


Das AAI Salzburg hebt 2010 das Globale Lernen als Beitrag zur Förderung politischer und interkultureller Kompetenzen deutlich hervor und hält dies in seinen beiden Kernfunktionen, dem Bildungs-/Kulturprogramm und dem Interkulturellen Zentrum fest. In der Gestaltung seiner rund 30 Veranstaltungen pro Jahr ist das AAI Salzburg besonders auf die Prinzipien des Globalen Lernens achtsam und nennt dabei unter anderem Partizipation, Gleichberechtigung der Geschlechter, Dialogorientierung, interkulturelles Lernen. Globales Lernen wird als Beitrag zur Förderung entwicklungspolitischer und interkultureller Kompetenzen gesehen.


Das Projekt setzt sich mit Risiken und Chancen der Globalisierung kritisch auseinander. Die Entwicklungspolitik wird nicht als ein isoliertes Politikfeld gesehen, sondern sie ist in den Kontext von wirtschaftlicher, sozialer und politischer Gestaltung eingebettet.


Das didaktische Konzept und die Methoden der Umsetzung des AAI Salzburg werden im Dialog mit den KooperationspartnerInnen erarbeitet.


Das Projekt wird bei einem Gesamtprojektvolumen von EUR 63.600,00 in der Höhe von EUR 28.000,- (44,03%) gefördert.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
