WIDE : Ermutigen - Fördern - Verändern: Gendergerechtigkeit, Kohärenz und Empowerment von Frauen 2010-2011

WIDE ist ein entwicklungspolitisches Frauennetzwerk, das Gendergerechtigkeit in der Entwicklungspolitik und im globalen Kontext fördert. Das Projekt soll einen Beitrag zur Umsetzung der Gleichstellung auf allen Ebenen der österreichischen entwicklungspolitischen Arbeit im Rahmen internationaler, EU- und österreichischer Abkommen leisten. Ebenso will es die aktuellen Krisen aus Genderperspektive analysieren und diskutieren, um den Blick zu weiten und politische Partizipation von Frauen zu stärken.

Die Projektaktivitäten umfassen Arbeitsgruppen zu "Frauen und Wirtschaft", "Gender und Biodiversität", "Bejing Follow up" und "Gendertrainings". Die Arbeitsgruppen erstellen Positionspapiere, Dokumentationen und Artikel und planen österreichweite Veranstaltungen in Zusammenarbeit mit ExpertInnen. Weiters sind 2010 die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema Migration und Entwicklung aus Genderperspektive (Thema der internationalen WIDE Jahreskonferenz 2010 in Rumänien) sowie die Unterstützung der von vielen NGOs getragenen Klimakampagne mit einem spezifischen Genderblick vorgesehen.

Zielgruppen sind MultiplikatorInnen im Bereich Entwicklungspolitik, MitarbeiterInnen von Ministerien und anderen Stellen der öffentlichen Verwaltung, Lehrende, Studierende und JournalistInnen.

Das Projekt wird in der Höhe von Euro 120.289,00 (85,00% des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit: 2 Jahre.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
