Overall goal


Das Oberziel des Projektes ist es, Nahrungssicherheit für verletzliche Haushalte (Fokus auf Menschen ohne Behinderung) zu erhöhen. Das spezifische Projektziel ist, für 7881 Haushalte im Distrikt Kasungu bis zum Ende des Projektes die Ernteproduktion zu steigern, sowie die Einkommensmöglichkeiten zu diversifizieren.


Zielgruppen:

Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf den Haushalten, die in extremer Armut leben (Einkommen unter einem US $ pro Tag). Direkte Zielgruppe sind etwa 43.000 Menschen im Bezirk Kasungu (das sind fast 50% der Bevölkerung im Zieldistrikt mit Einkommen unter $1/Tag), die indirekte Zielgruppe umfasst etwa 95.000 Menschen. Die Integration von Geschlechtergleichstellung sowie von Interventionen im Hinblick auf HIV Aids steht im Mittelpunkt der Interventionslogik sowie in allen Projektphasen.


Der Erfolg der vorgeschlagenen Interventionen soll im Wesentlichen an folgenden vier Projektergebnissen (Expected Results; ERs) gemessen werden:

Resultat 1: 7881 Haushalte bauen trockentolerante Varietäten von Getreide und Hülsenfrüchten an und nutzen Wasser- sowie Bodenressourcen nachhaltig.

Resultat 2: 150 Sparvereine sind in den Zielgemeinden aufgebaut, selbständig und voll funktionsfähig und Spareinlagen werden in den Aufbau von neuen Gewerbe- und Einkommensmöglichkeiten investiert.

Resultat 3: Fähigkeiten von Vertreter/innen strategisch ausgewählter lokaler Regierungsbehörden und Gemeindeinstitutionen im Bereich Landwirtschaft gesteigert.

Die geplanten Interventionen basieren auf einem fundierten Analyse- und Erhebungsprozess bei dem Vertreter/innen der Regierung, der Gemeinden sowie der Zielgruppen intensiv eingebunden wurden.

  • Type of Aid – Aid modalities: classifies transfers from the donor to the first recipient of funds such as budget support, core contributions and pooled programmes and funds to CSOs and multilateral organisations, project-type interventions, experts and other technical assistance, scholarships and student costs in donor countries, debt relief, administrative costs and other in-donor expenditures.
  • Purpose/ sector code: classifies the specific area of the recipient’s economic or social structure, funded by a bilateral contribution.
  • Tied/Untied: Untied aid is defined as loans and grants whose proceeds are fully and freely available to finance procurement from all OECD countries and substantially all developing countries. Transactions are considered tied unless the donor has, at the time of the aid offer, clearly specified a range of countries eligible for procurement which meets the tests for “untied” aid.
