Experiencing Europe: "Serbian Young Professionals in Austria - Zoran Djindjic Internship Programme" ist eine Kooperation des Zoran Djindjic Fonds mit WUS Austria. Die OEZA stellte für ein Dreijahresprogramm 2008/09-2011 in einem ersten Vertragsjahr 2008/09 (13 Monate) einen Betrag von 308.300 Euro zur Verfügung und unterstützt durch Vertragspartner WUS eine Serbische Institution, welche als Symbol für ein demokratisches und offenes Serbien fungiert. Finanziert wird hiermit ein praxis-orientiertes Projekt, welches zum Ziel hat, jungen, qualifizierten Menschen aus Serbien durch verbesserte arbeitsmarktrelevante Ausbildung bessere Zukunftschancen zu eröffnen.

50 ausgewählte Serbische StudentInnen/JungakademikerInnen werden pro Jahr für 3 Monate nach Österreich eingeladen, wo sie bei Firmen und Institutionen ein ambitioniertes, Karriere-orientiertes Internship Programm absolvieren. Zusätzlicht steht am Beginn ein zweiwöchiger Intensivkurs zum Thema "European and Austrian Studies" sowie ein intensiver Deutsch Sprachkurs.

Dem Projekt kommt hohe außenpolitische Bedeutung bei, da die OEZA eine Serbische Institution unterstützt, welche als Symbol für ein demokratisches und EU-orientiertes Serbien fungiert. Das Vorhaben findet seit Bestehen der Projektserie aktive Unterstützung durch Außenministerin Dr. Ursula Plassnik und reiht sich in eine Reihe von Bemühungen, die europäische Integration Serbiens von Österreichischer Seite zu unterstützen.
