Experiencing Europe: 'Serbian Young Professionals in Austria - Zoran Djindjic Internship Programme' ist eine Kooperation des Zoran Djindjic Fonds (ZDF) mit WUS Austria. Für junge serbische Spitzenkräfte und Studierende werden Ausbildungsmodule und Praktikaplätze in Österreich angeboten. Die OEZA stellt für ein Dreijahresprogramm 2008/09-2011 in einem zweiten Vertragsjahr 2009/10 (13 Monate) abermals einen Betrag von 308.300 Euro zur Verfügung und unterstützt über den Vertragspartner WUS den serbischen ZDF sowie junge (potentielle) Führungs- und Fachkräfte in Serbien. Der ZDF selbst steht als bekannte Institution für ein demokratisches und offenes Serbien.

Das sehr praxis-orientierte Projekt hat zum Ziel hat, jungen, qualifizierten Menschen aus Serbien durch verbesserte arbeitsmarktrelevante Ausbildung bessere Zukunftschancen zu eröffnen: 50 ausgewählte serbische StudentInnen/JungakademikerInnen werden pro Jahr für 3 Monate nach Österreich eingeladen, wo sie bei Firmen und Institutionen ein ambitioniertes, Karriere-orientiertes Internship Programm absolvieren. Am Beginn des Programmes steht ein zweiwöchiger Intensivkurs zum Thema 'European and Austrian Studies' sowie ein gediegener Deutsch Sprachkurs.

Die Unterstützung des ZDF hat einerseits hohen gesellschaftspolitischen Symbolwert in Serbien, da der Name des ermordeten demokratischen Ministerpräsidenten weiterhin als Sinnbild für ein offenes, nach Europa orientiertes pluralistisch-demokratisches Serbien fungiert. Das Vorhaben steht andererseits im Kontext der österreichischen Außenpolitik, Serbien auf seinem Weg in die Europäische Union zu unterstützen. Darüber hinaus zeichnet es sich durch seine spezifische Öffentlichkeitswirksamkeit in Österreich aus.
