Experiencing Europe: 'Serbian Young Professionals in Austria - Zoran Djindjic Internship Programme' ist eine Kooperation des Zoran Djindjic Fonds (ZDF) mit WUS Austria. Für junge serbische Spitzenkräfte und Studierende werden Ausbildungsmodule und Volontariatsstellen in Österreich angeboten. Das sehr praxis-orientierte Projekt hat dabei zum Ziel, jungen, qualifizierten Menschen aus Serbien durch verbesserte arbeitsmarktrelevante Fortbildung bessere Zukunftschancen zu eröffnen. Gleichzeitig werden die StudentInnen/JungakademikerInnen in österreichischer betrieblicher Umgebung und Gesellschaft mit den gelebten Werten der EU vertraut gemacht. 50 ausgewählte serbische StudentInnen/JungakademikerInnen werden daher pro Jahr für 3 Monate nach Österreich eingeladen, wo sie bei Firmen und Institutionen ein ambitioniertes, Karriere-orientiertes Internship Programm absolvieren. Am Beginn des Programms steht ein zweimonatiger Intensivkurs zum Thema Europäische Integration' sowie ein Deutschkurs. Im Anschluss an das Praktikum wird der Austausch der Erfahrungen in intensiven Alumni Aktivitäten unterstützt.


Die Unterstützung des ZDF hat einerseits hohen gesellschaftspolitischen Symbolwert in Serbien, da der Name des ermordeten demokratischen Ministerpräsidenten weiterhin als Sinnbild für ein offenes, nach Europa orientiertes pluralistisch-demokratisches Serbien fungiert. Das Vorhaben steht andererseits im Kontext der österreichischen Außenpolitik, Serbien auf seinem Weg in die Europäische Union zu unterstützen. Die OEZA stellt für ein Dreijahresprogramm 2008/09-2010/11 in einem dritten Vertragsjahr 2010/11 (13 Monate) abermals einen Betrag von 298.951 Euro zur Verfügung.
