Overall goal


Das Klimabündnis verbindet ökologische und entwicklungspolitische Anliegen und hat ein regionales Netzwerk in ganz Österreich mit 737 Klimabündnisgemeinden, über 400 Klimabündnisbetrieben und über 160 Klimabündnisbildungseinrichtungen. Im vorliegenden Projekt möchte das Klimabündnis die mediale Aufmerksamkeit der Fußballweltmeisterschaft in Südafrika nutzen, um auf die vielfältige Problematik der Regenwald- und Savannenrodungen, der Konkurrenz um die Flächennutzung und des Flächenverbrauchs sowie die Alternativen aufmerksam machen. In den Klimabündnisgemeinden werden neun kreativ gestaltete Fußballspiele veranstaltet, die den Flächenverbrauch und auch die soziale Dimension des Klimadilemmas veranschaulichen. Begleitend und auch darüber hinaus wird es 30 Fachvorträge pro Jahr geben. Es wird ein starkes Medienecho in lokalen und regionalen Medien erwartet, außerdem werden vermehrt neue Medien (youtube, facebook) zur Begleitung der Aktivitäten zum Einsatz kommen. Die Bundesländer, beteiligten Städte und Gemeinden, Schulen und privatwirtschaftlichen Betriebe sind nicht nur als Zielgruppen, sondern auch als PartnerInnen zu sehen, da sie als MultiplikatorInnen für breite Teile der Bevölkerung wie zum Beispiel KonsumentInnen oder auch SchülerInnen fungieren.


Das Projekt wird aus OEZA-Mitteln in der Höhe von Euro 98.100,00 (71,17 % des Gesamtprojektvolumens) gefördert. Laufzeit: 2 Jahre.
